Meet The Floating Nomads
We are Rick and Adam, The Floating Nomads. One of us was a teacher, the other worked in marketing, before we sold the house and bought a boat. We've been travelling full time ever since, mostly by water and rail rather than air. The Honest Brits Guide comes from places we've actually been: real prices, real routes, and the stories and history most guides leave out.

We've spent extended time in Malta, Italy, Albania, Montenegro, Turkey, the French Caribbean and South America, and once travelled from Buxton to Rio without flying, through 11 countries: overland through Europe to Barcelona, then a transatlantic ship crossing the rest of the way, a journey CNN covered. We don't rush from place to place; we stay long enough to live like locals and find out what places are actually like.
The Honest Brits Guide is where we put everything the videos can't fit: the practical stuff, the real prices, the restaurants we'd actually send a friend to, and the things that surprised us, good and bad.
